Upper Eyelid Ptosis

Ptosis is the medical term for droopy upper eyelids. This condition causes the upper part of a person’s visual field to be cut off by the upper eyelid. There are many conditions that can cause the eyelid to droop and our oculoplastic surgeon will test for these during your consultation. Most commonly, wear and tear throughout the years causes the muscle that raises the eyelid to loosen.
