Blepharoplasty

They say your eyes are the first thing someone notices about you. (There is no research to back up that statement, but we’re sticking to it!) If there is one thing that gives away your age almost immediately, it’s droopy, puffy eyelids. Ready to dial back the clock? That’s where we come in.

If you’re like most people, it can be hard to feel confident when you aren’t happy with the way you look. At Soll Eye, we understand that your overall happiness hinges on your self-esteem.

While we are of the opinion that you should never feel ashamed of your age and appearance, we are happy to help our patients feel and look their best through expert oculoplastic care!

Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty, commonly referred to as eyelid surgery, is a procedure used to improve the appearance of droopy, saggy or puffy eyelids. A blepharoplasty can be for the upper or lower eyelids. Blepharoplasties can be done for cosmetics reasons, functional reasons, or both!

Blepharoplasties can fix a multitude of issues.  Loose or saggy skin on the upper eyelid? We can fix that. Excess skin and fine wrinkles around the eye? We can fix that too. You can also say goodbye to the bags under your eyes and droopy lower eyelids.

The Blepharoplasty Procedure

Dr. Soll will help decide whether intravenous sedation or general anesthesia is best for you.

During an upper eyelid blepharoplasty, Dr. Soll will make incisions in the natural crease of your eyelid. This helps to conceal surgical scars later. During a lower eyelid blepharoplasty, he will make incisions either inside of the lower eyelid, or on the lower lash line.

Once the incisions are made, Dr. Soll can go in and make the proper adjustments. After these adjustments are made, he will close the incisions using sutures or skin glue.

Brow Lift

You’ve probably heard of a facelift before - a brow lift is similar. A brow lift can help immensely with problems like forehead wrinkles, frown lines, and sagging brows. Brow lifting also helps restore eyebrows to an alert and youthful position.

Both Blepharoplasty and Brow Lifts can be covered by insurance if found medically necessary.
