Bell's Palsy

Bell's palsy can cause the eyelid to function poorly and blink incompletely. This can lead to an eye that becomes dry because it is exposed to the outside world. Patients with this condition often report irritation, redness, and blurry vision. In addition, the eyes appear asymmetric. When this condition cannot be treated medically, there are surgeries that can restore the function and appearance of the affected eye.

At your consultation, Dr. Soll will determine whether a weight will need to be placed in the upper eyelid or if a tightening procedure of the lower lid will correct the problem. These surgeries can be performed on an outpatient basis.
